A wonderful chili bbq sauce tastes great on anything you put BBQ sauce on. I was inspired by the BBQ Seitan Brisket I made in culinary school. I put this together quickly yesterday when I wanted to add a more BBQ flavor to my Beyond Burger.
🌶 2 tbsp dried mushroom powder (dried mushrooms ground in a spice grinder or purchased powder)
🌶 1 tsp chipotle powder
🌶 1 tsp Kashmiri Powder
🌶 1 tbsp tomato paste
🌶 2 tbsp maple syrup
🌶 2 tbsp vermouth or dry white wine (omit if wine free)
🌶 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
🌶 1 tsp liquid smoke
🌶 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
🌶 1/4 cup tamari
🌶 1 cups vegetable stock or water
Add all ingredients into a sauce pot, cook to boil and then simmer for 15-20 minutes.
